HABIT TO are a tight and energized band from Durban, South Africa. They have travelled extensively with their music nationally and abroad.
The band consists of:
- Chillie Stent-Wardell (Female Lead Vocals + Lead & Rhythm Guitar)
- Dale Wardell (Bass & Male backing vocals)
- Yesh Naidoo (Drums & Male backing vocals)
HABIT TO believes that the audiences’ experience is most important. They can provide heartfelt, slow ballads for a romantic dinner; as well as powerful anthem sets for the partygoers. The motto is to give the people what they want.
Their diverse repertoire can fill dance floors with audiences who enjoy a sing along and/or like to shake their booty.
HABIT TO entertain with hits for modern tastes like Thinking Out Loud (Ed Sheeran) and 24K Magic (Bruno Mars); to older favorites like Sweet Child of Mine (Guns ‘n Roses) and Billie Jean (Michael Jackson). The band can also provide jazz standard type sets for a more relaxed atmosphere.
They will keep the audience captivated with their quality and variety of songs to suit the mood and energy of the crowd.
HABIT TO have released various original studio albums and singles: Shade (2003), Secrets to a Triangle (2007), Boomerang Saturn (2011), Ready To Rumble (2012) and Hellbent (2019). They have enjoyed the rewards of radio play and YouTube views with their singles: Gratitude, Movin’, R10.40, Boomerang Saturn and Ready To Rumble. And have recently released their 5th body of work entitled Heaven Sent (2021).
HABIT TO won a Battle of the Bands in South Africa. This propelled the band into the music scene. The prize money helped to spearhead the funding for their albums and tours. This encouraged them to build up their repertoire and reputation. Today the band boasts ample experience having performed thousands of shows at various locations around Southern Africa and abroad.
HABIT TO is a band that has experienced performing on a vast range of stages including TV shows, Arenas, Festivals, Theatres, Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants, Hotels, Resorts, Weddings, Corporate Functions, Cruises and Events. There truly is no stage too big or small for these passionate musicians.
